Terms of Use

The rules for using this site

Last updated: 27 September 2024

By opening or using fxlists.com (the "Site"), you're agreeing to the terms below and to our Privacy Policy, which is folded into these terms. If any part of this doesn't work for you, please don't use the Site.

1. The Basics

 • You're old enough: By using the Site you're confirming you're 18 or older, or at least the legal age of majority wherever you're browsing from.
 • Use it lawfully: The Site isn't to be used for anything illegal, full stop.
 • We can update these terms: We revise this page from time to time. Once a change is posted, carrying on using the Site means you've accepted it: so it's worth a glance now and then. Feel free to keep a copy for your own records.
 • The Site can change too: We may adjust, pause, limit, or shut down the Site, or your access to it, at any time and without advance notice.

2. Privacy: What We Collect and Why

We build our data practices around applicable privacy law, including cross-border rules where they apply to you.

2.1 What counts as "personal data"

Anything that could reasonably identify you: your name, email, postal address, and similar details. Anyone working with us, staff or outside vendors, is held to the same standard of handling that data lawfully and carefully.

2.2 Records, processing, storage, and where data travels

We keep an automated record of user information and we're accountable for how it's used. We process personal data so we can:

(a) run the Site and deliver the features you've asked for, and (b) occasionally send you information about things we think you'd want to know about: only where Section 2.7 allows it.

We hold on to personal data only as long as it's genuinely needed for those purposes, or as long as the law requires. Storage sits on privately managed servers behind industry-standard protections against loss, tampering, or unauthorized access. Submitting data to us means you're fine with it moving across borders where that's necessary to keep the Site and its services running.

2.4 Required fields vs. optional ones

Some of our forms mix required and optional fields. Skipping an optional one won't change what we can offer you. Skipping a required one, or entering something incorrect, might mean we can't follow through on your request.

2.5 Your rights over your own data

Want to see, correct, delete, or object to how we're using your personal data? Write to the contact address listed on the Site and we'll handle it promptly.

2.6 How we protect it

We treat everything you share as confidential and back it with standard technical safeguards against loss, tampering, or unauthorized access.

2.7 Emails from us

We only send marketing messages to people who've opted in where that's legally required. You can opt out any time: use the unsubscribe link, or email us with "unsubscribe" in the subject.

2.8 Cookies, ads, and our stance on spam

A cookie is a small file your browser stores on our behalf. We don't use them to grab personal details like your name or email: at most, they remember you for a members-area login, and only if you've opted into that.

We sometimes work with outside ad providers who use non-identifying browsing data (never your name, address, email, or phone number) to serve ads that might actually be relevant to you.

We don't do spam: no repeated, unsolicited bulk email to people we have no relationship with, and no ignoring an opt-out.

2.9 IP addresses

We log IP addresses for basic system upkeep and troubleshooting, not to track what any one visitor does. They may feed into general traffic statistics, but we make no effort to trace them back to a specific person.

2.11 If this policy changes

Legal or operational changes get reflected here, with the updated version posted to this same page.

2.12 Interest-based advertising partners

Some partners collect data to power interest-based ads. If you'd rather not, each of them offers an opt-out mechanism on their own site.

3. No Guarantees, Limited Liability, Risk Is Yours

Our content is pulled together from many sources, and anything published online can lag or contain the odd gap or error.

THE SITE AND EVERYTHING ON IT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS," WITH NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

To whatever extent the law allows, fxlists.com makes no promises (express or implied) about accuracy, completeness, timeliness, non-infringement, or fitness for any particular purpose.

YOU USE THIS SITE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Any decision you make based on what you read here (including trading or investment decisions) and any result that follows, good or bad, is on you.

To the fullest extent the law permits, fxlists.com, its owners, partners, and licensors won't be liable for loss or harm (short of death or injury caused directly by our own negligence, which can't legally be waived) arising from putting this Site together or from events outside our control.

We're on the hook for direct damages only: never consequential, incidental, indirect, or special damages, even if we'd been warned they were possible.

Some regions don't allow limits like these, in which case those specific limits won't apply to you.

Indemnity: You agree to cover and defend fxlists.com, its owners, partners, and licensors against claims, damages, or costs that come from your use of the Site, your reliance on its content, anything you've submitted, or a breach of these terms on your part.

4. Other People's Websites

We link out to third-party sites purely as a convenience. fxlists.com has no control over (and takes no responsibility for) what those sites do; a link here is not an endorsement. Whether and how you use what you find there is your call.

6. A Word on Trading Risk

A few things worth spelling out: fxlists.com can earn a referral fee, sometimes tied to trading volume, when we send a client to a broker. Trading forex and other leveraged products carries real risk and won't suit everyone: leverage cuts both ways, amplifying gains as easily as losses. Weigh your own goals, experience, and appetite for risk before you start, and never trade money you can't afford to lose. When in doubt, talk to an independent financial adviser.

7. If You Submit Content to Us

Anything you write or send us (a comment, a review, feedback) stays yours. What you're granting us, by submitting it, is a free, permanent, worldwide license to use, adapt, publish, and distribute it in any format and for any purpose, including commercially, and to let others do the same on our behalf. In submitting it, you're confirming you actually have the right to share it, and that doing so doesn't step on anyone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights.
